Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with long-time Missouri offer, 2016 DT prospect Bravvion Roy 6’2” 300 Spring (TX), who talked about his interest in Missouri, and who updated us on the current status of his recruitment.
Roy told ShowMeMizzou.com that he’s had a Missouri offer since “last spring”. He went on to say that Missouri Defensive Line Coach Craig Kuligowski has been his primary recruiter.
“I’ve been talking to Coach Kool, the Missouri defensive line coach,” explained Roy. “I love Coach Kool. He’s one of the best coaches I’ve ever talked to. And, Missouri’s in my top two right now.”
Roy named Baylor and Missouri as his top two schools.
Roy currently holds about “9 or 10” offers. His offer list includes the likes of Baylor, Louisville, Iowa State, and Syracuse, among others, in addition to Missouri. He’s also receiving serious interest from a number of other schools, including TCU, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Roy also plays basketball. He reported having been timed at 4.80 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He also reported a personal best in the bench press of 325 pounds.
Roy said that he’s good friends with current Missouri 5th-year senior David Johnson, who also attended Spring High School. He said that Johnson has nothing but good things to say about Missouri.
“He tells me that the atmosphere (at Missouri) is great, and that it’s a great school,” said Roy.
Roy said that he’ll for sure take an official visit to Missouri, but he wasn’t sure he’d be able to take an unofficial visit to Missouri. He’s already taken an unofficial visit to Baylor.
He said that he expects that Coach Kool will come to see him during spring ball.
Roy said that he’ll probably wait until after his senior season to make a decision. He said that “whatever school can take me the farthest” will be a major factor in his college choice.
