Kelly Discusses Missouri Recruitment

Missouri continues to look for top defensive line prospects in 2016.

Recently, highly-regarded 2016 DE prospect Xavier Kelly 6’5” 238 Wichita (KS) East told that Missouri has been recruiting him. He talked about his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.

“Missouri is recruiting me,” explained Kelly. “They haven’t offered yet. I think they’re going to come by my school next week.”

Kelly has been speaking with Missouri assistant coach Andy Hill. He said that he “believes” Missouri will offer him when they come to see him next week.

“(Missouri) feels that I fit their program, with my size and my speed,” continued Kelly. “They need a pass rusher, so they think I’ll be perfect for the position.”

Kelly currently holds offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Clemson, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech.

Kelly expressed that he is interested in Missouri. He said that if Missouri offers, he’ll take a visit to Missouri. He sounded pretty sure that he’d be visiting Missouri.

“Missouri’s a big-time school and football program,” said Kelly, explaining his interest in Missouri. “It’s always great to get an offer from an SEC school.”

Kelly plans to announce his decision at the Army All-America Game.
