Bryant With The Update

St. Louis receiver updates his off-season and recruiting.

Since the conclusion of Spring Football, Missouri coaches have been out and about all over the country checking in on recruits. Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with a local recruit, who has been hearing from the Tigers, and he updated us on his Missouri interest, as well as the current status of his recruitment.

As ShowMeMizzou.com reported earlier, 2016 WR prospect Roddrick Bryant 6’3” 195 St. Louis (MO) CBC had attended the Missouri Junior Day in February. Roddrick is a talented pass-catcher who missed his entire junior season while recovering from the ACL surgery he underwent last April. This spring, he’s been working out with the CBC track team.

“I’ve been working out with the track team,” explained Bryant. “But I haven’t been running in meets.”

Bryant said that he’s getting back to his old (pre-injury) form.

“(My track coach) wants me to get back to one-hundred percent before I get into competition,” explained Bryant.

Bryant has received offers from Illinois and Nebraska, and he has several schools, including Missouri, who are very interested in him, and want to see how well he runs post-injury.

“(Missouri assistant) Coach Ford came up the other day,” said Bryant, who explained that Missouri wants him to come to camp so they can see him run. “I think Missouri is pretty interested in me." Bryant said that he’s planning to camp at Missouri. He understands that since he missed his junior season with the knee injury, Missouri may need to see more of him. “They say that they want to offer me, but they want to see where I am, coming (back) from the injury,” explained Bryant. “I’ve just got to show them that I’m back to one-hundred percent……………………………………. I’m looking forward to getting up there (for the Missouri camp).”

Bryant likes Missouri. He suggested that a Missouri offer would immediately place the Tigers among his favorites.
