ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with recent Missouri offer and 2016 TE prospect Miller Forristall 6’6” 215 Cartersville (GA). Forristall talked about the Missouri offer, and his interest in the Tigers, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.
“I was ecstatic about the Missouri offer! I didn’t really know they were going to offer me,” said Foristall, who identified Missouri Defensive Line Coach Craig Kuligowski as his primary recruiter.
“They came out here for spring ball, and saw me, and they said they really liked me. Coach Kuligowski looked at some of my practice film with my head coach. Then he said they were going to go back and watch my film, and that I might be getting a call from them in a couple of weeks.”
Forristall said that Coach Kool called about a week later.
“Coach Kool said that they sat down and watched my film as a staff,” explained Forristall. “He gave me a call, and he said they liked my film, and had decided to offer me.”
Forristall seemed to be very excited about his Missouri offer.
“I know a good bit about Missouri,” said Forristall. “Missouri is an amazing offer, especially for me, because I do fit very well in their offense, and that type of system. Missouri’s definitely a place that I could end up at.”
Forristall said that he probably won’t play basketball again this year because he’s strongly considering a December graduation and early enrollment. He self-reported a personal best of 4.65 seconds in the 40-yard dash, to go along with a 31” vertical, and a maximum in the bench press of 280 pounds.
Forristall has recently received an avalanche of offers. He said that he currently holds “like 15 offers”, including California, Charlotte, Iowa, Middle Tennessee, UCF, Western Kentucky, among others, in addition to Missouri. He’s also receiving increased interest from a number of other schools, including Georgia.
“Missouri is right there with Cal and Iowa,” explained Forristall, evaluating his offers. “Missouri is definitely my most striking offer so far, just with what they’ve done in the past couple of years and how I fit there.”
“We’re going to take a trip out to Missouri first,” said Forristall. “I know what Georgia has. And I want to go see what Missouri has, so I can see and compare.”
