Recently, Missouri extended a scholarship offer to 2017 basketball prospect Jordan Goodwin 6’3” 216 Centrevlle (IL) Althoff. ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Goodwin, and he talked about the Missouri offer, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.
“I’ve watched Missouri a little bit on TV,” said Goodwin, who also plays for the St. Louis Eagles in the EYBL. “I play for Coach Tate. Coach Tate’s a cool coach.”
Goodwin is listed with and plays on the Eagles’ 16U team. But he also plays up on the 17U team. He is a big-bodied wing who uses his size and strength to power his way to the basket and finish through contact.
Goodwin currently holds offers from Illinois and Missouri. He said that he wants to visit Missouri, but he has yet to schedule a date for that visit.
“I don’t know yet (when that Missouri visit will occur),” explained Goodwin.
Goodwin went on to explain that he has spoken with and is in communication with Missouri Head Coach Kim Anderson.
It’s early in Goodwin’s recruitment. He hasn’t given a lot of thought to which school he might sign with a year-and-a-half, or two years, from now. He did say that he is interested in Missouri.
