Missouri Offer Means Lot To Banks

2016 local defensive back Bryce Banks comes away with Tiger offer at camp.

On Friday, Missouri extended an offer to 2016 DB prospect Bryce Banks 6’3” 186 Columbia (MO) Rock Bridge. Banks had been participating with his Rock Bridge teammates in the Missouri Team Camp. Obviously, Missouri liked what they saw from Banks.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Banks about the Missouri offer, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.

“The Missouri offer means a lot to me,” explained Banks. “I was really excited! Just happy, and overwhelmed with emotions getting an offer from my hometown school. It just means a lot. It blew me away.”

“Coach Pinkel told me that he wants me to be a Missouri Tiger,” continued Banks. “He said that he was offering me a scholarship.”

Banks currently holds offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Miami (OH), Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, Toledo, Tulsa, Western Illinois, Western Michigan, and Wyoming, in addition to Missouri.

Banks said that Missouri is his best offer..

Banks runs the forty in the 4.5-second range, to go along with a 35” vertical, and a max in the bench press of 265 pounds. Missouri is recruiting Banks to play corner or safety.

Banks said that he plans to come back to Missouri for visits in the next few weeks.

“I plan on getting back on campus again, and getting to know the coaching staff and my position coaches,” explained Banks. “And just seeing how everybody is, and getting to know them.”

Banks said that he wants to take some time to talk with his mother about the Missouri offer and his decision.

“I plan on making a decision in late-July, before my senior season gets started,” said Banks.

Banks is planning to graduate in December and will enroll in college in January.

He said that at present, he doesn’t have any favorites.
