Big Missouri Sleeper Sexton Camping w/ Tigers

The Missouri Tigers will have a big in-states sleeper at prospect camp Sunday.

One of the biggest sleepers (literally) in the state of Missouri will be camping with the Missouri Tigers on Sunday, as West Plains (MO) 2016 OT Jett Sexton 6'8" 277-pounds- 5.2 forty-will be attending in the hopes of earning an offer from his home state school.

"I really like Mizzou," said Sexton. "I have been a fan and watched them a lot on TV growing up.They are in the best conference in the country. Coach Henson has been talking to me and said that they think I am an interesting prospect, and that they want me to come to camp so they can get a better evaluation on me. Hopefully, they will offer me if I do well."

The under the radar offensive line prospect already has offers from Illinois State, Tennessee-Martin, Austin Peay, Northeastern Oklahoma State and most recently Missouri State.

"I went to Missouri State's camp last week and did pretty well and they offered me at camp. I ran a 5.2 forty and vertical jumped 25" there. The coaches said they really liked my footwork, and they were really excited about me. Coach Steckel offered me, and said that he thought I could be an All-American type player for them if I came there," Sexton said.

Sexton, who self-reported lift maxes of 310-pounds in the bench press, 410-pounds in the squat, and 305-pounds in the power clean, said that he is also getting letters from Purdue, Arkansas and Northern Iowa.

Staying locally is what his plans are currently for the summer.

"Right now, I am only planning on camping with Missouri State, Mizzou and Arkansas."

sporting a 3.9 GPA, Sexton said he would like to study medicine in college, and that staying close to home appeals to him.
