Tre'Vour Simms Talks Missouri Tigers

East St. Louis (IL) offensive lineman Tre'Vour Simms camps well at Missouri, talks Tigers.

The East St. Louis (IL) Flyers were among the teams in attendance at the Missouri Tigers second football team camp that ran through Saturday. East Side has been a strong program developing top tier college football talent over the years, including having several Flyers sign with the Tigers the past couple if years, including Greg Taylor, Natereace Strong and All-American DT Terry Beckner in the 2015 class.

This years Flyers squad featured 2017 WR Jeff Thomas as the top talent on the team and at camp, but also had 2016 OT/OG Tre'Vour Simms 6'5" 310 standing out in camp and gaining the attention of Missouri coaches while there with his team. spoke with Simms following camp to get his thoughts on how it went.

"I had a great camp yesterday," said Simms on Saturday after his camp performance. "The Mizzou coaches said I did great and that worked me out. Coach had me going in at multiple spots along the offensive line. It was a great experience and I liked it a lot."

Simms is versatile enough to play along the interior or at tackle,he currently plays tackle in high school, but he projects well at offensive guard on the next level. He has very good athleticism and feet for his size. He is an equally talented run and pass blocker.

I asked Simms, who was offered by Illinois last week, if he had heard from the coaches about their recruitment of him or a possible offer.

"Yes, I have talked with them. They said they are evaluating me, having meetings later about players and will continue to recruit me," he said.

Missouri cornerbacks coach is Simms primary recruiter.

When asked what he thought about the Missouri program, he did not hesitate to shares his feelings.

"I love that school," he said. "I had a great experience, really love the coaches, the program and I have several former teammates who are going there." will keep you updated on Tre'Vour Simms recruitment by the Tigers.
