“Missouri is pretty nice! I really enjoyed seeing the facilities and the campus,” said Evans. “I love the coaching staff, and the linebackers coach and defensive coordinator (Coach Odom)……………………………………… I really enjoyed it, and my family enjoyed it.”

Missouri had offered Evans a couple of months ago. Missouri Assistant Coach Ryan Walters had been to Archer this spring to see Evans. Evans reported a personal best of 4.66 seconds in the 40-yard dash, with a 10-yard split of 1.53 seconds, to go along with a 4.3-second 5-10-5 shuttle, and a bench press maximum of 325 pounds.

The Missouri visit was particularly enjoyable for Evans and his family, as it gave him the opportunity to see his stepsister, a Missouri student, for the first time in almost a year.

“I really enjoyed seeing my (stepsister),” explained Evans. That was really big! I hadn’t seen her in about a year.”

Evans currently holds offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Wake Forest, among others, in addition to Missouri.

Evans said that Missouri is one of his favorites. He intends to narrow his list of schools pretty soon.

“Actually, Missouri is one of my favorites,” said Evans. “I’m very interested in Mizzou. I was just there for one day, and they really showed me a lot. I loved the academic part of it. I just want to get back up there for a game. But I plan on making my decision over the summer before the season. So, I mean, I will be considering Mizzou. They’re one of my top schools.”

Evans is on pace to graduate in December and he plans to enroll in January. He wants to study business and kinesiology. Evans said that he’ll “probably” return to Missouri for another unofficial visit this summer, maybe next month.
