Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Missouri offer and 2016 TB prospect Darius Anderson 5’11” 193 Richmond (TX) George Ranch about his interest in Missouri. He also updated us on the current status of his recruitment.
Anderson told ShowMeMizzou.com that he’s interested in Missouri, and that Missouri is showing him interest, as well.
“I’m interested in Missouri,” explained Anderson. “They’re in my top five.”
Last season, Anderson helped his school reach the Class 5A Division I quarterfinals with a 12-2 record, by rushing for 1,861 yards and 14 TDs, along with 22 receptions for 326 yards and 3 TDs. He self-reports a personal best in the 40-yard dash of 4.42 seconds, to go along with a 39” standing vertical jump, a 4.22-second 5-10-5 shuttle, and a bench press maximum of 310 pounds.
He has recently narrowed his list of schools to include California, Houston, Missouri, Texas, and Utah. He’s previously taken unofficial visits to Houston and Texas, and he is planning to take official visits to all five of those schools before he makes a final decision, which will likely be after the season.
Anderson has identified Missouri Assistant Coach A.J. Ricker as his primary recruiter. He wanted to take an unofficial visit to Missouri this summer, but that hasn’t been possible. So, he’s planning to take an official visit to Missouri later, likely after the season.
“I won’t be able to visit Missouri until after the season,” explained Anderson.
He has told ShowMeMizzou.com that he’s comfortable with the way that Missouri utilizes their running backs, and that he feels he’d be a good fit for the Missouri offense.
