Jackson Shares His Thoughts On Mizzou Offer

Ohio hoopster discusses his Missouri offer and interest in Tigers

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with recent Missouri offer and 2016 SF prospect Willie Jackson 6’6” 211 Cleveland (OH) Garfield Heights. The athletic forward talked about his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.

“Missouri offered me,” explained Jackson. “I haven’t talked to them, but they told my coach that they really like me, and that they need (my) toughness. They told my coach that they’re offering.”

Jackson currently holds offers from Bowling Green, Bradley, Buffalo, Cleveland State, Iowa, Iowa State, Kent State, La Salle, Miami (OH), Minnesota, Old Dominion, Penn State, San Francisco, SMU, Toledo, Wisconsin, and Wright State, in addition to Missouri.

Jackson said that the Missouri staff watched him play at the recent Peach Jam. He was playing for King James. He said that he can guard “one through five”. His versatility extends to the offensive end, as well.

His high school coach, Sonny Johnson, described Jackson as “very interested in Missouri. He’s very athletic. He’s an unbelievable rebounder………………………………. He can do a lot of things. Great mid-range. A competitor.”

Jackson indicated to ShowMeMizzou.com that he intends to take an official visit to Missouri in August. He also identified San Francisco as a school likely to receive an official visit.

“I haven’t decided where I’ll take the other three (official visits),” explained Jackson.

Jackson indicated to ShowMeMizzou.com that once the summer season is over, he’ll focus more on his recruitment and take some official visits.
