JUCO Hines To Join Mizzou For 2015

Missouri adds junior college defensive back for this year

The Missouri Tigers have added a JUCO DB from California who it appears will be joining the team for the 2015 season.

Anthony Hines 6'2" 185, who visited Mizzou on Sunday and, played cornerback at San Mateo (CA) Community College in 2014, committed to the Tigers today with the plan of being able to join the team soon for pre-season camp.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Hines about his commitment and future as a Missouri Tiger.

"I chose Mizzou because of how they embraced me into the visit and, the whole recruiting process," said Hines. "Also, not only is it one of the top football schools but also great academic school too."

Hines told me that Indiana and Fresno State were also schools who offered him along with the Tigers.

He also informed me that he will be here for the 2015 season. However, he wasn't certain when he would return to school and report to the team yet.

"I'm not sure yet. I have to do the paperwork, " he said.

Hines did say that he would be back in California still on Thursday.

The rangy cornerback recorded 27 total tackles along with 3 picks (one for a TD) and 2 fumble recoveries.
