Quarterback Maty Mauk Suspended Indefinitely at Mizzou

After a Twitter video showed a man who looks like Mauk snorting a line of white, powder-like substance, the University of Missouri has suspended its starting quarterback ... again.

Maty Mauk has been suspended for the third time in four months after a short Twitter video appears to show him snorting a line of white, powder-like substance. Mauk was suspended in September for violation of team rules and again in November for undisclosed disciplinary reasons.

Missouri athletic director Mack Rhodes and head coach Coach Barry Odom announced the punishment on Monday night after the video was posted on Twitter. The video's caption mentions Mauk by name, but Missouri has yet to confirm that the person in the video is its quarterback.

In a joint statement, Rhodes and Odom said, "We are currently gathering information regarding the video in question. This is an issue we take very seriously and one that will not be tolerated within our program. We will take the appropriate actions once we have all the facts. In the interim, Maty Mauk has been indefinitely suspended for the Mizzou football program."
