The Los Angeles Lakers guard scored 25 points to help the United States team beat the World team 157-154 in Rising Stars Challenge, part of the NBA’s All-Star Weekend.
“I feel like that game is more of a confidence builder,” Clarkson told Lakers.com. “It’s not something you (can) really get too high or too low on. If you didn’t really play very well, it doesn’t really mean to much.”
The Lakers’ second-year guard scored 25 points on 8-of-20 shooting and added five rebounds, five assists and four steals in 23 minutes.
Clarkson, 23, is averaging 15.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals through 53 games this season. He averaged 11.9 points, 3.5 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game a year ago, when he was selected to the NBA’s All-Rookie first team.
