Hughes, who took an official visit to Missouri this weekend, announced the commitment on his Twitter account.
Hughes is a 6-foot-3, 164-pound shooting guard from Garfield Heights (Ohio) High School, where he was teammates with Missouri signee Willie Jackson, a 6-foot-6 small forward.
Hughes was previously committed and signed with Louisville, but the two sides agreed to a mutual parting of the ways late last month.
Hughes averaged 19 points and five rebounds per game for Garfield Heights, which went 23-5 and advanced to the state semifinals. Missouri coach Kim Anderson had three open scholarships to use this spring and was looking to add a shooting guard, combo guard and another post player to his recruiting class that already included Jackson and post players Mitchell Smith and Reed Nikko.
