JUCO OL Kyle Mitchell Commits to Missouri

JUCO offensive lineman Kyle Mitchell made a commitment to Missouri on Wednesday.

The Missouri Tigers added an offensive lineman for the 2016 season on Wednesday afternoon with a commitment from JUCO prospect Kyle Mitchell.

Mitchell is a 6-foot-5, 310-pound freshman offensive tackle at American River College in Sacramento, Cali. He announced his commitment via his Twitter account.

“After all the hard work, blood and tears I’ve put into this game along side my brothers, I’m proud to say I have officially committed to Mizzou!,” Mitchell wrote. “It’s been quite the process and I would like to thank God, my family, the whole ARC coaching staff, and all the brothers I played with, for supporting and allowing me to develop as a football player but more importantly, as a man. At this point, I’m excited to further my education and career as a Missouri Tiger and I can’t wait to get after it!”

Mitchell made an official visit to Missouri a few weeks ago and received a scholarship offer from the Tigers. Mitchell, who was also offered by Texas Tech Red Raiders, becomes the third offensive linemen in the Tigers' 2016 recruiting class, joining Trystan Castillo and Tre'Vour Simms.

The Tigers were looking to add depth up front after losing offensive linemen Andy Bauer, Malik Cuellar and Clay Rhodes this spring.
