Safety Leaves Team

News surfaced this afternoon that the Missouri Tigers were dealt with a loss in their secondary.

Sophomore outside safety Brandon Smith has left the Missouri football team. After practicing last week, Smith was nowhere to be seen in Monday's early practice.

"He's left the program," coach Gary Pinkel said.

It was rumored Smith was disgruntled with the team, but cornerback Michael Harden said he didn't see it coming.

"I couldn't see anything," Harden said. "It came as a shock."

Smith played in all 12 games last season. He had 17 tackles, a tackle for a loss and a blocked punt.
