Maty Mauk Transfers to Eastern Kentucky

Former Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk will transfer to Eastern Kentucky for his final season.

Maty Mauk is on the move.

The former University of Missouri quarterback will head to Eastern Kentucky as a graduate transfer, a EKU spokesman confirmed Friday to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Mauk, who graduated from Missouri this spring, will be able to play this fall as a graduate transfer after playing three seasons with the Tigers. He was suspended three times during his junior season and was kicked off the team in January by new head coach Barry Odom.

Mauk went 17-5 as a starter at Missouri and accounted for 5,120 total yards and 46 touchdowns in his three seasons. His total yards and 4,373 passing yards both rank ninth in school history. His 42 passing touchdowns are fourth in Missouri history.

Eastern Kentucky, which competes in the Ohio Valley Conference, went 6-5 a year ago and returns quarterback Bennie Coney, who threw for 2,471 yards with 23 touchdowns against eight interceptions. Coney, a transfer from the University of Cincinnati, will be a redshirt senior in 2016.
