Memphis OLB Miller Adds First Big 12, SEC Offers

Memphis outside linebacker Aubrey Miller picked up two big offers this week.

Memphis Whitehaven outside linebacker Aubrey Miller has had a good week.

Miller, a 6-foot, 210-pound Class of 2017 prospect, picked up his first Big 12 Conference offer from Iowa State and then received his first Southeastern Conference offer from Missouri

“It was very exciting,” Miller told, “because I didn’t really think I was going to get an SEC offer and for it to be one of the top five defenses in the nation that was very exciting too because defense is my thing.”

How did the Tigers find out about him?

“Actually they visited my school,” Miller said. “I don’t know if they were up there for me, but they saw my body and was like, wow. Then when they saw my film they were like, this is crazy, because you’ve got a big kid and his film is amazing. Then I’ve been seeing them at camps.”

Miller said he saw a Mizzou coach recently when he was at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp in Detroit.

Other schools have seen him as well and his recruiting is beginning to pick up.

“I just have to be patient,” Miller said. “I just picked up Iowa State and I picked up Louisville.”

Miller could see his recruiting stock rise over the next few weeks as he attends more camps and takes some unofficial visits.

“I’ll be going to Oklahoma State and Oklahoma University,” Miller said. “Also I’ll be going to Ole Miss, Mississippi State and all the way out to Cal.”

Though it looks like Miller will have a busy next few weeks with those trips, he added that he’d also like to visit Missouri and Iowa State at some point next month.
