Missouri Among Boyd's Top Eight Schools

St. Louis area standout offensive lineman Larry Boyd has released its top eight schools.

Trinity Catholic High School offensive lineman Larry Boyd named his top eight schools on Monday afternoon.

Boyd, a 6-foot-5, 332-pounder, listed Oklahoma State, Missouri, Kansas State, Minnesota, Arkansas, Iowa State, Illinois and Wisconsin

Ranked as the fourth-best Class of 2017 prospect in the state of Missouri, Boyd has spent the last few months visiting schools and competing at camps.

Boyd said in February he had Missouri at the top of his list.

“I grew up loving Mizzou,” Boyd said. “It’s like a family and I feel like I’m already part of the family every time I go up there. So why not just be somewhere you’re comfortable and you feel like you’re part of a family?”

The Trinity Catholic rising senior has backed off that stance since and said he plans to take his time with the recruiting process and may not make a commitment until Signing Day.

Now Boyd’s recruiting process looks to be a battle between schools in the Southeastern Conference, Big 12 and Big 10 all looking to land the St. Louis area standout offensive lineman.
