Memphis LB Miller Releases Top Five Schools

Memphis Class of 2017 linebacker Aubrey Miller announced his top five schools.

Memphis Whitehaven rising senior outside linebacker Aubrey Miller has seen his recruiting pick up recently. On Tuesday evening he was ready to release a list of his top six schools.

Miller, a 6-foot, 210-pounder, released a top five of Memphis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Missouri and Iowa State

Miller has visited three of the five schools already — Memphis, Louisville, Cincinnati — and is planning to visit the other two, Missouri and Iowa State, officially at some point.

Here's a quick rundown from Miller about what he likes about each school…

Memphis: “To be honest you can’t get rid of your hometown and for them to be my first offer that meant a lot because I know that my hometown wants me to be the hero of my city. And also I had plenty of family that went there and I can stay home.”

Louisville: “When I went down there, when I went on the visit, it was a beautiful visit. The coaches, I got to know them real well, I like how they coach and I like the scheme they are talking about me playing in.”

What kind of scheme is that? “They are talking about playing me as a strong safety. nickel, 4-3 — stuff like that.”

Cincinnati: “Actually my dad went to college (at Arkansas State) with one of the coaches, so I’ve been in touch with them a lot. And the campus is really well. Also, I like the environment there.”

Missouri: “When the coach visited up there, we had a nice conversation. Also I heard that they had the No. 5 defense in the nation. Defense is my favorite position in football. For them to have a pretty good defense, I thought that’s where I could fit in. Also, I’ll learn more when I go take my official visit.”

Iowa State: “It’s a great school. Actually, me and my dad are supposed to be taking an official visit up there soon and I’ll learn more.”
