Missouri DE Charles Harris Named to Bednarik Award Watch List

Missouri defensive end Charles Harris has a breakout season in 2015. Now he's on the preseason watch list for the Bednarik Award.

University of Missouri defensive end Charles Harris was named to the preseason watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award, given annually to the best defensive player in the nation, the school announced on Tuesday morning. 

Harris, a 6-foot-3, 255-pound redshirt junior, was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection a year ago after racking up seven sacks and leading the conference with 18.5 tackles for loss.

The Kansas City native also finished his breakout season with 56 tackles, two forced fumbles and one pass defensed while anchoring one of the best defensive units in college football.
