The Missouri Tigers added another football commitment in recent days, though one that was quiet until late Tuesday night.
PowerMizzou.com reported that Class of 2017 safety Joshuah Bledsoe committed to the Tigers a day earlier. Bledsoe, who confirmed the commitment via his Twitter account, also had offers from Tulane, North Texas, Louisiana-Monroe, Rice and Texas-San Antonio.
Bledsoe, a 6-foot, 191-pounder at Dekaney High School in Houston, continues Missouri’s recruiting surge over the past week. Barry Odom’s squad has now added seven commitments — six for the Class of 2017 — over a four-day stretch, bringing the total number of commitments for 2017 to 11 after going into the weekend with just five.
Missouri now has three commitments from Texas in the Class of 2017.
Bledsoe competed at the Nike Opening regional in Houston and recorded a 40-yard dash of 4.76 seconds, a shuttle time of 4.47 seconds and a vertical leap of 34.5 inches.
