It’s possible CBC High School wide receiver Kamryn Babb could end up being the best of the bunch.
Babb, a 6-foot-1, 190-pounder, put on a show on Saturday night against East St. Louis with seven catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns and also two interceptions in a tough 32-28 loss.
The four-star prospect is rated by Scout.com as the 33rd-best wide receiver and 202nd-best prospect overall in the Class of 2018, but could make a big move when the ratings are updated.
He was a popular guy on Thursday, the first day college coaches were allowed to contact 2018 prospects.
“I talked to quite a few,” Babb told BlackAndGoldIllustrated.com on Saturday night. “Some schools I haven’t really heard from before and some schools I’ve already heard from, but I talked to a lot of them.”
Which schools stood out?
“Ohio State. LSU. Alabama talked to me,” Babb said. “And there’s a couple more. Michigan State and a couple more.”
What did the LSU offer mean to Babb?
“It was great but at the same time I’m more focused on the team right now now,” he said. “We had a difficult loss tonight, but we’re going to bounce back after this. We have a great team and we have the drive to be successful and win games and I think that’s going to get us even farther later on this season. So we have to stick to our plan, keep our heads up and just keep battling.”
