The Tigers lost their season opener at West Virginia, 26-11, while Eastern Michigan earned a 61-14 victory over Mississippi Valley State in its opener. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m., Central Time, on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
“They scored 61 points last week and they are 1-0,” Missouri coach Barry Odom said. “It’s hard to score 60 points in college football and they did it. … I’m really impressed with what they did on offense and equally as much defensively. They’re sound. They played really, really hard. I’ve follow their coach (Chris Creighton) for a number of years. I know the success that he’s had at different stops. They will be very, very well-coached. They were at LSU last year. They’re going to look forward to the opportunity of coming into this place and getting after it.”
