Wide receiver Jafar Armstrong and his Bishop Miege (Shawnee Mission, Kan.) High School squad defeated Louisburg (Kan.) High School in a Kansas Class 4A sectional round playoff game on Friday.
Armstrong had three receptions for 63 yards and two touchdowns.
For the season, Armstrong has now has 44 receptions for 1,017 yards and 17 touchdowns and has two rushing touchdowns and one kickoff return TD.
Whitehaven High School (Memphis, Tenn.) and linebacker Aubrey Miller improved to 12-0 on the season with a 30-0 win against visiting Overton (Nashville, Tenn.) High School in the second round of the Tennessee Division I Class 6A playoffs.
Miller had nine tackles, including one for loss, in the win and Whitehaven has allowed just one touchdown and 12 total points in their last five games.
Quarterback Reyondous Estes and his East St. Louis (Ill.) High School squad kept rolling and matched their season high for points with a 60-27 win at Willowbrook High School in a Illinois Class 7A quartefinal playoff game.
Estes completed eight of 15 passes for 176 yards, with three touchdowns and one interception, and ran for 18 yards and a score. He found Missouri recruiting target Jeff Thomas for six receptions for 169 yards and three TDs.
East St. Louis (12-0) advances to face Benet Academy (10-2) on Saturday at Benedictine University in the Illinois Class 7A semifinals.
Offensive lineman Hyrin White and his DeSoto (Texas) High School squad opened the Texas 6A D2 playoffs with a 51-7 win against visiting Killeen (Texas) High School on Friday.
DeSoto (11-0) gained 556 yards of offense (279 rushing, 277 passing). The Eagles will face Southlake (Texas) Carroll High School (10-1) in a second-round playoff game on Friday.
Carrollton (Ga.) High School and center Case Cook opened the Georgia AAAAA playoffs with a 48-20 win over visiting Lithonia (Ga.) High School on Friday night.
Carrollton’s offense racked up 473 total yards (291 rushing, 182 passing) as the Trojans improved to 10-1 on the season. Carrollton meets Thomas County Central (Thomasville, Ga.) High School (8-3) in a Round 2 game on Friday.
Middle linebacker Jamal Brooks and his Bessemer (Ala.) City High School squad saw their season end with a 52-26 loss to Park Crossing (Montgomery, Ala.) High School in an Alabama Class 6A second-round playoff game on Friday night.
Brooks had an 11-yard touchdown run in the loss. Bessemer City finished the season at 7-5.
Ben Davis (Indianapolis, Ind.) High School improved to 9-3 with a 51-21 over Cathedral (Indianapolis, Ind.) High School in the Indiana Class 6A playoff regional round on Friday.
Offensive lineman Pompey Coleman is out for the season after suffering a broken leg in the second game.
Defensive back Joshuah Bledsoe and his Dekaney (Houston, Texas) High School squad saw their season come to an end with a 35-0 loss at Klein Collins High School (Spring, Texas) on Friday night in the Texas 6A D2 playoffs.
Bledsoe ran once for 6 yards as Dekaney finished 5-6 on the season.
Wide receiver Roderick Ford and his Southwest High School (Fort Worth, Texas) squad saw their season end with a 70-0 5A D2 first-round playoff loss at Grapevine (Texas) High School on Friday.
Southwest finished the season at 6-5.
Tight end Logan Christopherson's Lemont (Ill.) Township High School squad saw their season come to an end with a 27-20 loss to Burbank (Saint Laurence) High School in an Illinois Class 6A quarterfinal game on Saturday.
Christopherson is out for the season with a shoulder injury.
Offensive lineman Larry Borom and his Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) squad had their four-game win streak snapped with a 24-0 loss at Groves High School (Beverly Hills, Mich.) in a Michigan Division 2 district finals playoff game on Friday, Nov. 4.
Brother Rice concluded its season at 7-4.
Wide receiver Da'Ron Davis and Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North squad finished the season with a 2-8 record.
In eight games, Davis racked up 56 receptions for 703 yards and five touchdowns and also had a kickoff return touchdown.

Junior defensive lineman Josh Smith and his Landry-Walker High School (New Orleans, La.) squad ran their winning streak to nine straight games with a 55-23 win against visiting Fontainebleau (Mandeville, La.) High School in the Louisiana Class 5A first-round playoff game on Thursday.
