Texas CB Terry Petry Flips to Missouri

Texas Class of 2017 cornerback Terry Petry flips from Houston to Missouri.

Cornerback Terry Petry took an official visit to the University of Missouri, while he was still committed to Houston, back on Sept. 17 when the Tigers hosted Georgia.

On Wednesday, a few days after Tom Herman left Houston to become the new head coach at Texas, Petry also had a change of plans.

The Class of 2017 standout from Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas., announced via his Twitter account he was decommitting from Houston and committing to Missouri.

Petry, a 5-foot-11, 165-pounder, becomes the 14th confirmed commitments for Barry Odom’s Tigers in the 2017. He is the fifth defensive player and fills a position of need for Mizzou with both starting cornerbacks this season, Aarion Penton and John Gibson, exhausting their eligibility.

The Tigers had junior college cornerback Octavious Morgan in for an official visit this past weekend when Missouri rallied to defeat Arkansas.
