What to watch for:
Illinois leads the all-time series with Missouri, 30-16, and has won the past three Braggin’ Rights Game matchups by a combined nine points. Illinois beat Missouri 68-63 on Dec. 23, 2015.
Missouri has lost its last two games, against Arizona and Eastern Illinois, after winning two in a row. Overall the Tigers have lost three of their last five to fall to .500 for the season — the third straight season under Anderson the team is 5-5 after 10 games.
Junior forward Jordan Barnett, a St. Louis native who transferred from Texas a year ago, made his Missouri debut against Eastern Illinois and finished with three points, five rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes off the bench. The rebounds and minutes both matched career highs set during his one and a half seasons with the Longhorns.
Illinois has won five straight games, rebounding from a three-game losing streak. The Illini beat BYU 75-73 on Saturday night at the United Center in Chicago. Illinois had five players in double figures, including Maverick Morgan (14 points) and Michael Finke (10) both scoring in double figures off the bench.
