Missouri Recruiting Offensive Hot Board

Taking a look at what Missouri's recruiting class looks like about a month before Signing Day...

The Missouri Tigers added a few commitments (and lost one) since our last installments of the hot boards, so here’s another look at who has committed and who is still on the radar.

Missouri has 20 verbal commitments and 12 of them are offensive players, including four who committed since our last offense hot board.

Here’s our offensive hot boards from October and December 8.

2017 MISSOURI FOOTBALL COMMITMENTS LIST

QUARTERBACK

Committed:

Possibility:

http://www.scout.com/player/199538-mac-jones?s=19

Notes: The Tigers had four underclassmen QBs on their roster a few weeks ago but are left with sophomores Drew Lock and Jack Lowary and freshman Micah Wilson after redshirt sophomore Marvin Zanders announced he was transferring. Neither Lowary nor Wilson saw action this season, so both redshirted and retained a year of eligibility. Lowary will be a redshirt sophomore next season and Wilson will be a redshirt freshman. Both will compete for the No. 2 spot but we’ve heard Wilson was impressive in practices this season and is a true dual-threat QB. Reyondous Estes flipped his commitment from Western Michigan to Missouri in August not long after the Tigers offered him but it’s possible he could flip his commitment to Illinois. Mac Jones is committed to Alabama but is still hearing from Missouri. The four-star prospect is one of two QBs committed to the Crimson Tide, who started a freshman QB this season. This will be a situation to watch for the next few weeks.

RUNNING BACK

Committed:

http://www.scout.com/player/208482-isaiah-miller?s=19

Possibility:

http://www.scout.com/player/213229-caleb-perry?s=19

Notes: The Tigers gained commitments from both Larry Rountree and Isaiah Miller in December and they appear set at the position for the time being. Miller, an early enrollee, will join Damarea Crockett, Ish Witter, Nate Strong and Ryan Williams in competing for carries in spring football. Caleb Perry was a player who also took an official visit to Missouri, but unlike Rountree and Miller he did not make a decision following his visit. He could still be in play for the Tigers but right now it looks like they will only take two running backs in this class. Perry is expected to make his decision on Jan. 5 between Washington State, Missouri, Montana State and Portland State.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Committed:

http://www.scout.com/player/200494-daron-davis?s=19

http://www.scout.com/player/197316-jafar-armstrong?s=19

http://www.scout.com/player/213140-elijah-gardiner?s=19

Possibilities:

http://www.scout.com/player/185026-jeff-thomas?s=19

Notes: Since our last installment, the Tigers gained a commitment from Elijah Gardiner and lost a decommitment in Roderick Ford. Gardiner joins DaRon Davis and Jafar Armstrong in giving Missouri a trio of receivers with good size, speed and skills. Jeff Thomas has said he’s no longer considering Missouri but you’d think Barry Odom will try to change that.

TIGHT END

Committed:

http://www.scout.com/player/200156-logan-christopherson?s=19

Possibilities:

None

Notes: The Tigers missed out on a couple other tight end targets before getting a commitment from Logan Christopherson in early June. Missouri signed two tight ends in February in Brendan Scales and Albert Okwuegbunam and both of those players redshirted this season.

OFFENSIVE LINE

Committed:

http://www.scout.com/player/199103-hyrin-white?s=19

http://www.scout.com/player/192091-case-cook?s=19

http://www.scout.com/player/205991-larry-borom?s=19

http://www.scout.com/player/197448-pompey-coleman?s=19

http://www.scout.com/player/193428-yasir-durant?s=19

Possibilities:

http://www.scout.com/player/174983-george-moore?s=19

http://www.scout.com/player/193832-isaiah-hardy?s=19

Notes: It looks like the Tigers will try to sign six offensive linemen in this class and are up to five commitments from Hyrin White, Case Cook, Larry Borom, Pompey Coleman and recently junior college freshman Yasir Durant. All five commitments have already been on campus for games or official visits. Borom, Coleman and Durant all took their official visits in December. Durant, the most recent commit, decommitted from San Diego State and has already signed. Durant and Coleman are both mid-year enrollees, which will strengthen the Tigers’ depth up front for spring football. George Moore is another JUCO lineman who is looking around at schools after decommitting from Washington State last month. JUCO OL Isaiah Hardy, who has offers from Missouri and West Virginia, could remain in the mix though his recruitment has been kind of quiet. Jordan Rhodes, from Creekside High School in Fairburn, Ga., is another name to watch. He told 247 Sports he would take an official visit to Missouri in late January.
