Missouri-Alabama Hoops Preview

Missouri (5-11, 0-4) plays at Alabama (10-6, 3-1) on Wednesday night.

Missouri is back on the road on Wednesday night at Alabama with the Tigers still searching for their Southeastern Conference win of the year and looking to snap a long losing streak on the road.

What to watch for: 

Alabama leads the all-time series with Missouri, 7-2, and is 4-0 in Tuscaloosa. Alabama defeated Missouri 80-71 in Tuscaloosa on Feb. 6, 2016.

Missouri, which has lost eight straight games, ranks last in the 14-team SEC in field goal percentage (39) and 3-point field percentage (26.6). Alabama is 12th in both field goal percentage (42.5) and 3-point percentage (31.8).

Kim Anderson is 24-55 in three seasons as Missouri’s coach.

Since joining the starting lineup, junior forward Jordan Barnett is averaging 16.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. He’s seventh in the SEC in scoring (16.8) and rebounding (7.5) in conference games. 

Alabama has won five of its last six games and is coming off an 81-66 win at LSU on Saturday. 

Alabama leads the SEC in rebounding (42.8 per game) and rebounding margin (+10.8).
