What Gary Pinkel and the Tigers have been doing has apparently gained some national attention, as the Tigers reached the top 25 for the first time in five years.
After a 37-0 win against Eastern Illinois and a few upsets, Missouri
found itself in the top 25 for the first time since the end of the 1998 season.
Missouri landed in at No. 23 in the Associated Press poll released Sunday. The Tigers were 27th, but jumped up as Notre Dame, North Carolina State, Colorado and Wisconsin all lost on Saturday.
The Tigers are also No. 26 in the latest coaches poll. They had been No. 32.
