Woodley suspended indefinitely

Redshirt freshman cornerback Alex Woodley most likely will get more than Spring Break off from the football team. After his arrest for theft in Columbia this week, Woodley has been suspended indefinitely.

Missouri has indefinitely suspended redshirt freshman Alex Woodley after his arrest on Thursday.

With the Tigers on spring break for the week, Gary Pinkel is on a personal trip and could not comment, but the terms of Woodley's suspension will be handled when he returns.

University of Missouri police arrested Woodley on Thursday for theft and fraudulent use of a credit card. Capt. Brian Weimer, MUPD spokesman, could not be reached for further detail.

Woodley switched from running back to cornerback this spring, and he was showing signs of improvement before the arrest. He is listed third on the depth chart at cornerback, a position in as much flux as any for the Tigers.
