Just read their helmets...BBT, "Bowl Bound Tigers".
Kirk Farmer's comments, both publicly and privately, after the game followed the lead of the others. Farmer, who had a magnificent game of his own, throwing for 23 of 34 attempts for 360 yards and three touchdowns, made it clear that he hasn't given up on that goal to make it to a bowl game this year.
At 4-5, it won't be an easy task for Ol' Mizzou, with difficult road games ahead against K-State and Michigan State. However, this Missouri team refuses to lose site of the team's post-season goals, regardless of how they get there.
Missouri racked up 531 yards against a bad Baylor team on Saturday, using a variety of weapons including Zain Gilmore catching a touchdown pass, and the aforementioned Gage drawing on his former quarterbacking experience to throw for another.
So, while the football Tigers prepare for their bowl game run, the rest of us will get a chance to savor the individual accomplishments of players like Gage.
Gage has a legitimate shot at picking up two more Tiger receiving records this season. He is 10 receptions behind Victor Bailey's record of 75 set in 1992. He is also 372 yards away from passing Bailey's 1,210 yards also set in 1992.
The Tigers will have a two-week layoff before travelling to Kansas State on the 24th of November.
They will then finish up their regular season at Michigan State on December 1st.
