Missouri on Arkansas WR's top 5

Two-sport star Chris Smith has his eyes on the Tigers, including Missouri in his updated top 5. Smith talked about playing football and baseball, and his spring plans.

Chris Smith is a productive wide receiver from Blytheville High School that could have a future in two sports on the next level. Smith had 50 catches for 500 yards and three touchdowns as a junior, and he is currently batting .485 for his baseball team. Where does Smith's heart currently lie?

"I'm looking to play football first, but I'd like to play both," said Smith. "The Atlanta Braves are showing me the most interest in baseball. Arkansas, Iowa, Ole Miss, Florida, Vanderbilt, and Missouri invited me to their spring games. I went to Arkansas, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Vanderbilt. Missouri was my favorite team growing up, and my Top 5 right now is Ole Miss, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Iowa."

Blytheville struggled last season, but with nine starters returning on offense, they shouldn't have much trouble moving the ball. Only three starters come back on defense, so they could find themselves in some shootouts this year.

Smith is a very good student, and he will have no trouble qualifying. He is going to have several options ahead of him in the near future.
