Lane Odom Resigns

One of the really good guys in the coaching profession, Lane Odom, resigned from his assistant coaching position at Missouri on Tuesday.

Columbia, Mo. – Lane Odom has resigned his position as assistant coach at the University of Missouri. Below are comments from Odom and Mizzou Basketball Coach Quin Snyder:

From Lane Odom:

"I am resigning my position as assistant basketball coach at the University of Missouri to pursue other opportunities. It was important to me that I remain on staff at the University of Missouri until a notice of allegations outlining the NCAA's position was received and reviewed. It's now time for me to move forward.

I have been blessed to work with a terrific staff directed by a talented coach and a great person in Quin Snyder. Moreover, I appreciate the support of a caring administration. Most importantly, I will always value the opportunity I've had to coach a special group of players who have worked hard to bring the best to Tiger fans. I have learned so much in my four years at Missouri, and I feel fortunate to have been there.

Under Coach Snyder, the basketball program has established a high level of athletic and academic success. I look forward to following the continued success of the program."

From Coach Quin Snyder:

"I thank Lane for his contributions to the University of Missouri basketball program over the last four years. I know he will be successful and wish him only the best in his coaching career."
