Mizzou Torches Xavier 72-60

The question was a fair one: How would Missouri respond to another tough opponent, on the road, playing in Xavier's backyard? Not to worry Tiger fans, Kareem Rush was back to normal. Rush lead four Tigers who scored in double figures to punish Xavier 72-60.

After rough outings against Alabama and Iowa, Kareem Rush's vision is back to normal, thank you.

Rush scored an efficient 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Missouri pulled away from a very game Xavier team 72-60.

Missouri only lead by two at the half, but Clarence Gilbert scored all of his 10 points in the second half, and high-flying Ricky Paulding added 10 points of his own.

The Tigers were also buoyed by excellent shooting from their sophomore point guard Wesley Stokes who chipped in 14 points, including several key long-range three pointers.

With the victory against Xavier, Missouri looks to climb the national rankings into the top five this week.

Missouri returns home to face Jackson State later this week.
