Tigers Roll Grambling 100-76

For the second consecutive game, Sophomore forward Arthur Johnson scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Missouri to a 24-point victory against Grambling in Columbia.

Missouri looked flat in the first half, you might even say a bit bored.

How else can you explain Missouri leading by only seven points at halftime playing a 1-4 team?

Both Clarence Gilbert and Kareem Rush were off with their outside jumpers in the first half. Gilbert was only 1-11 in the first period, but picked up the pace to end the game with 20 points, because he found ways to get to the free throw line.

It was Arthur Johnson who was the steadying influence all day for Quin Snyder's club. Johnson shot 6-11 from the floor and allowed Missouri to stop relying on the outside shot.

The amusing stat from the game was technical fouls. Both teams picked up a technical in this game, but Missouri's came from an unlikely source: Josh Kroenke.

Missouri (7-0) will travel to St. Louis on Monday to take on the Billikens from St. Louis University with a scheduled 6 pm tipoff. The game is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN2.
