Mizzou Mauls Southern by 50!

So much for Missouri's 1-10 three point performance against St. Louis. The Tigers set a school record against Southern burying 17 three-point bombs in route to a 117-67 hammering of the Jags in Columbia.

How best to characterize this game? Perhaps the most telling stat is that all but two players on the entire Tiger roster played for double-digit minutes against Southern.

Or, you could go back to the 17 three-point shots made by the Tigers.

Perhaps it's more significant to point out Clarence Gilbert's 29 points in a season where the once, "Mad Bomber" has become one of the team's most unselfish players.

Or, you could make the case for the two monster highlight alley oops from half court that Wes Stokes delivered to skywalker, Sweet Rickey Paulding.

The Tigers outrebounded the hapless Jags by a 53-24 margin.

Everybody got into the act in some way on this night. It was a chance for the stars to shine, and then get some needed rest for the upcoming tests involving Iowa and Illinois. The 9-0 Tigers return to the Hearnes hardwood Saturday the 15th at 8 pm central time. It is scheduled to be an ESPN national telecast, so the Tigers will get another chance to impress a nationwide audience.
