The Illinois-Missouri Alumni Challenge is part of a tripleheader of basketball which will also feature a St. Louis High School Alumni Challenge and a competitive game between the world famous Harlem Globetrotters and the NABC College All-Stars, a collection of the nation's top college seniors.

Fans who attend the Alumni Challenge Rivalry Games will see many of the great players that have contributed to this basketball border rivalry. Confirmed participants include Missouri alumni Hall of Famers Derrick Chievous, Doug Smith and Steve Stipanovich. The Illinois team features alumni from their 1989 Final Four team including Kendall Gill, Marcus Liberty and Kenny Battle. In a second Alumni Challenge Game, alumni from St. Louis high school powerhouses, DeSmet and Cardinal Ritter will square off in a High School Challenge of many of metro-St. Louis high school's most memorable players.
Created in 2000, the NABC College All-Star Game features the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters against the nation's top college seniors in a competitive game. Chosen by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), the College All-Star Team has included several future NBA first-round draft picks battling the Globetrotters. The series has proven popular with fans, playing to near-capacity crowds each year.
The Event is presented by Nerf. Powerade will sponsor the halftime shows of all three contests.
