Mizzou completes Husker sweep

Missouri extended it's record to 18-7 on the season with an easy 87-71 victory over Nebraska in Lincoln. Rush had 30, while Gilbert added 14 points.

Missouri shot 53 percent from the floor for the game and never let Nebraska (11-11, 4-7) get closer than 10 in the second half.

Ricky Paulding had an efficient shooting night adding 13 points on a 5-9 shooting night.

It was good that Missouri had an "on" shooting night, because its big men got into early foul trouble and were somewhat limited trying to stay in the game. Both Travon Bryant and Arthur Johnson contributed eight points a piece in the victory.

Nebraska was horrific from the line in this game. Playing on their home court, the Huskers only shot 19-35 from the charity stripe.

Missouri returns to action on Sunday vs. Texas in Columbia. This game is critical for the Tigers in many respects. First, Missouri is tied with Texas in the conference standings. Second, much-coveted junior college point guard, Ricky Clemmons will reportedly be present at the game. Third, the Tigers desperately need anoth quality win to boost their sagging RPI as the NCAA Tournament approaches.
