In Loving Memory

Aaron O'Neal died on Tuesday in Columbia after participating in the Tigers' off-season voluntary conditioning program. We mourn his loss and extend our prayers and best wishes to the O'Neal family.

My first exposure to Aaron O'Neal was in a phone interview with Parkway North's head football coach, Bob Buntin. Coaches usually gush about their players and their potential at the next level, but Buntin wanted to talk about Aaron O'Neal...the person.

Buntin said that O'Neal was very coachable and was incredibly well liked at Parkway North. O'Neal was a high character young man who wanted to exceed expectations in all facets of life.

O'Neal brought his quiet dignity to the University of Missouri and quickly won over teammates and coaches alike. Simply put, Aaron was the type of person you wanted to be around and have a part of your program.

He is survived by his parents, Lonnie and Deborah O'Neal, and his older brother, Nick, who is a current student at MU, and two sisters: Eursla and Shameka.

Aaron O'Neal...#25...Missouri Tigers.

You will be missed by us all!
