Rush announces intention to enter NBA draft

Even though most Tiger fans expected this day to come, it is a bittersweet moment when a player like Kareem Rush announces it's time for him to enter the NBA. Mizzou fans everywhere wish the star junior all the best in the Association, and hope that you give 'em a "bully for Ol' Mizzou"!

Kareem Rush announced that he would make himself available for the upcoming 2002 NBA draft.

Rush did say that he did not intend on hiring an agent, presumably just in case he had a change of heart. However, he spoke of playing the NBA as being a lifelong dream and will certainly follow through with his desire to enter the draft this year.

The sweet shooting left-hander from Kansas City was a pre-season All-American before this season. Although he struggled through stretches, Rush was a key component of Missouri's run through the NCAA Tournament that culminated in an Elite Eight appearance in San Jose.

Rush joins former Tigers Anthony Peeler and Keyon Dooling in the current ranks of the National Basketball Association.

Supermizzou wishes Kareem all the best!
