Week 4 Picks

Well a very nice recovery for MizzouRah (and his Tigers!) in week three. Just when you thought our swami and Mizzou were in for a tough season, week three provided needed redemption.

We went 8-3 against the spread to get us 19-16 on the year and 10-2 straight up so we are 30-11 on the year in that regard. I just found out that when the Tigers play in Stillwater on October 8 I will be sitting at the Treasure Island sports book in Las Vegas so as important all the games are that I pick, that weekend will be the most important by far for MizzouRah! That doesn't keep me from doing my best this week so let's look at this week's games.

Joke games

Texas A&M destroys Texas State

Texas Tech scores MORE THAN 80 on Indiana State who just lost to an NAIA team. They should really cancel this game.

Lines from this week's KC STAR

Colorado (+14) at Miami - I know most of you think this is a complete mismatch but I'm not so sure. I saw a good but not outstanding Clemson team play a great game against Miami. I don't think CU is all that bad and I think they will pound the ball with some success. Let's give the Buffs the benefit of the doubt but they lose 28-17.

Iowa State (-18) at Army - Well Baylor beat Army by 10 so you would think this is an easy call. I dunno, ISU has not been overly impressive on offense and McCarney rarely runs it up particularly on the road.

Pick Army - they lose 27-10 by the way this is a Friday night TV game.

Kansas State (-24) hosts North Texas - Do I have to pick this game? When I made my pick with no knowledge of the spread I picked KSU by 24! Oh well, KSU has been dismal the last couple years covering the spread in the non conference and I guess Clayton may sit out a quarter or something but this UNT team just got destroyed by an improved but not good Tulsa team. I've gotta think KSU has been looking for a team to run it up on.

Pick KSU 37-10

Other games, Did I mention I'm not that impressed with Tulsa? I'll take Memphis to win (pick 'em is the spread).

Western Michigan (-3.5) barely beat IAA SIU! But they are probably better than a dismal Temple team. I'll take WMU.

I'll take Louisville (-22) to cover over an overmatched South Florida team.

I think Wyoming (+3) beats Ole Miss outright. They are much improved.

Good luck to your team!
