Spieker was asked how many players out of Webb City had actually signed with the Tigers in years past.
"Actually, I believe I'm the first one," Spieker said.
"I felt at home there," he continued. "And I was very impressed with the Missouri staff, especially coach Pinkel. I believe he's going to build a winning program there."
The six-foot-three, 290-pounder will play both offensive and defensive tackle for Webb City head coach John Roderique this season after recording 94 tackles with six sacks on defense in 2001. But what about the next level?
"The coaches said I'd either be at guard or center," he said.
Spieker also camped at Nebraska this summer, but chose Missouri over the Huskers and Arkansas. He has a 370-pound bench, 25-inch vertical leap and has already scored an impressive 23 on his ACT.
I'm sure both the Tiger staff and fans can't wait for his arrival.
