Two official visits down, one to go before Houston's Ja Mes Logan makes his final decision where he will play football at the next few years.
Logan, a speedy wide receiver from Spring Westfield High School in the Houston area, has already taken official visits to Oregon and now Missouri this past weekend. He has one remaining to Ole Miss on January 23rd.
Ole Miss appeared to be Logan's leader heading into his official visit to Missouri; did that change over the weekend in Columbia?
"Right now it's really close," Logan told InsideMizzou.com Sunday afternoon. "Missouri might hold a slight edge over Ole Miss right now because I just finished my visit and it was great. I will make a decision following my Ole Miss visit."
Logan confirmed that both Ole Miss and Missouri had the upper hand on Oregon.
"It will come down between those two most likely," Logan said speaking of Ole Miss and Missouri. "Missouri really surprised me this weekend, their stock rose a lot in my book after this past weekend."
Logan was impressed with how the current football team and the coaching staff treated him over the weekend.
"Everyone is like a big happy family at Missouri," Logan said. "I really liked the campus a lot, Missouri has great facilities." Can Logan see himself being a Tiger for Gary Pinkel?
"I definitely could see myself playing at Missouri," Logan said. "I will have to compare the two programs and everything they have to offer."
Logan finished his senior season with over 800 yards in receptions, the 6-foot-3; 195 pound athlete is being recruited to play wide out for the Tigers. He recently earned all state honors.
Coach Pinkel apparently made it clear to Logan how important the Scout.com three star prospect was to this recruiting class.
"He didn't push me to commit," Logan explained. "He made it clear how much they wanted and needed me, but he understood I wasn't going to make a decision until my last visit."
