Texas athlete Tavon Bolden found out earlier this week he had an official offer to Missouri.

The standout defensive back had always dreamed of playing in the Big 12 and for a winning football program, his dream has come true.

While on his official visit Saturday to Columbia, Bolden had seen enough and pulled the trigger and gave Gary Pinkel his pledge.

"It is great here," Bolden told InsideMizzou.com. "I love it here, I like everything about it, it's a perfect fit for me."

Bolden spoke to Pinkel during the Mizzou Basketball game intermission and gave the head coach the good news.

"He was very excited that I committed to Mizzou," Bolden said. "He welcomed me to the family."

Bolden also holds offers from Boston College, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Houston and Purdue.
