One of Texas best running backs known as "Show time" by his teammates, put on quite a show here Sunday night, making his official announcement live on KDFW Fox Sports in Dallas in front of over a 100 friends, family and fans.

Rockwall Heath's All-State running back Kendial Lawrence, who rushed for over 2,679 yards and scored over 43 touchdowns his senior season, opted to head out of the Lone Star State when he chose the Missouri Tigers over hometown SMU, Louisville and Iowa State.

Lawrence eliminated the Iowa State cap first, then Louisville was the second he threw to the crowd, leaving only a solid black Mizzou cap and a red and blue SMU one.

He picked up the SMU cap and showed it to his family and fans, then he put it down and picked up the solid black cap, when he placed it on his head, his family and fans cheered.

"I fell in love with Missouri while on my official visit," Lawrence said. "It felt like home again, I really like the coaching staff and feel it's the best place for me. I'm ready to be a Tiger."

You could tell his parents were very proud of their son.

"I'm very proud of him," Kendrick Lawrence said. "He wanted to go to a school that he wouldn't be fourth or fifth on the depth chart. Missouri's offense is a lot like what he ran at Heath. I expect great things from him at Missouri."

Lawrence is the first running back commitment of Gary Pinkel's 2009 recruiting class.
