One could say recruiting is going pretty good when you are receiving one to two official offers a week.
Such can be said for San Antonio Madison's athlete Tommie Saunders. The talented athlete, who plays strong safety, outside linebacker and running back for his high school team, is expected to play on the defensive side of the ball at the collegiate level.
Saunders is also excited about the way recruiting has been going the last few weeks.
"I have been picking up at least a couple of offers a week," Saunders said. "Some of the top programs in the country are offering me, it's pretty exciting."
One school that Saunders has received an official offer from is the University of Missouri.
Does Saunders have interest in the Mizzou Football program?
"I do have interest in the Missouri Football program," Saunders told InsideMizzou.com Sunday evening. "I like the way they run their defense. I got a chance to watch them play in person when they played in the Alamo Bowl this past December."
Does Saunders have an early favorite?
"Right now I would have to say Oklahoma and LSU," Saunders said. "I plan on taking unofficial visits to as many of the schools that have offered me that I can. I definitely plan on taking an unofficial to Missouri."
Things that are important to Saunders in selecting his school of choice include early playing time and a great coaching staff.
Saunders, a 6-foot-1, 198-pound athlete, had 94 tackles, four pass break ups and one interception his junior season.
