One Missouri High Prospect has been staying busying checking out colleges of his choice.

Parkway Central High School athlete Lee Ward has visited several college campuses this spring in hopes of learning more about schools showing interest in his talents at middle linebacker.

"This spring is going good," Ward told InsideMizzou.com Monday evening. "I'm enjoying visiting several college campuses. I have been to Northwestern, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska."

One campus that Ward is very familiar with already is the one in Columbia Missouri.

"I have grown up loving Mizzou," Ward said. "They have a huge advantage with me. Their program is first class; Coach (Gary) Pinkel has done an incredible job."

Ward attended the Tiger's Jr. Day in January and also attended a Jr. Day at Wisconsin.

"We have been doing a lot of traveling," Ward said. "It's been a lot of fun. It's a huge decision on where I will spend the next four to five years of my life; we want to make sure that I make the right decision."

Ward, a 6-foot-1, 240-pound athlete who runs a 4.6 forty, plays fullback and linebacker for his high school team.

"All the college coaches are looking at me at linebacker," Ward said. "I plan on attending several summer camps."

Ward recently attended Nebraska's spring game; he was shocked by how many fans were there.

"It was incredible," Ward said. "There were over 77,000 there, it was amazing."

Does Ward have an official offer?

"Yes Colorado State offered a couple of weeks ago," Ward said. "I'm very excited, I'm expected several more."

Ward plans on attending a one day summer camp at Mizzou.
