One Texas quarterback is hoping to follow in Chase Daniel's footsteps.
"Missouri is one of the programs I have a lot of interest in," Peebles told InsideMizzou.com Wednesday night. "I realize that in their offense they look at whether the quarterback can throw the ball without looking at the quarterback's height."
Peebles is still looking for his official offer and will be taking in several summer camps in hopes of earning a few.
"I plan on going to summer camps at Missouri and SMU for sure," Peebles said. "There are several others we are looking at."
Peebles missed most of his junior season due to illness.
"I came down with mono early in the season and missed my entire junior season," Peebles said. "Now I have to prove my worth at summer camps, I'm excited about the opportunity."
"Quarterbacks like Chase and Todd definitely gives me hope," Peebles said. "I know I can throw the ball with the best of them."
Peebles will return to lead a team that finished the 2008 season 4-6 overall and 4-3 in conference.
"We had a really young team last year, so we have a lot of guys coming back. I think we have a great shot at winning districts," said Peebles. "We have always been a wing-T offense, which I'm not really suited for, so the coaches have been working a little on the shotgun formation. I really think we will start to throw the ball a little more."
This summer Peebles will try to get to 195 pounds by adding muscle and will also try to drop his 4.8-forty.
